As We Are, You Will Be

Documenting the troubled relationship between Gatwick Airport and its surrounding communities. Tracing the human and physical history of the area from today’s impending runway expansion to from the medieval painting of ‘The Three Living and the Three Dead’ in Charlwood’s St Nicholas’ Church, built in 1080. The painting’s story of fate looming, and it’s line ‘As We Are, You Will Be’, was a large source of inspiration for this series. Shot on 120 in 2021.

Lowfield Heath Windmill was taken apart piece by piece and relocated to make space for earlier Gatwick expansions. It's original location is now a disused car rental unit.
