Texture Sounds 14
A motion-led campaign build around a sunset motif, marking the fourteenth and final edition of a London electronic music night. I helped form Texture’s visual identity three years earlier, shooting the photographs used across their first four events. Those early foundations informed the identity of this campaign, implemented across digital and physical touchpoints.

Working on both the animation and graphic design meant I could build the campaign from a single vector-based artwork, allowing me to stress-test across each of the placements it needed to adapt to.
I built the rotating ‘sunset’ animation across Illustrator and After Effects with stock tools. Warping shapes around a sphere, I ensured they land back on their exact starting positions so the loop closes invisibly, sitting behind a dotted mask that grows and shrinks as brightness changes underneath.
A3 Poster: the vector-based artwork provided me with complete flexibility for a responsive animation, as well as in the campaigns static outputs across digital and, seen here, print-based channels.
Stories and square feed posts: for all static placements, two variations were provided to allow content posted on the profile to feel fresh.
Graphics featured on ticketing sites such as Resident Advisor.
Graphics for the animation and reel cover were set inwards by an extra column ensuring they weren’t cropped in Instagram’s feed preview.
A closing identity colour palette drawn from my own photographs used in the campaign materials for their first events over three years prior.
The event’s club-inspired palette of dark spaces with vibrant shifting colours stemmed from my early textural photographs used in the campaign material for the opening run of events.
Continuing a long-standing creative relationship with Texture, I closed the night behind the decks for number fourteen.
